| Generic Fentermine |
 Fentermine's chemical component is phentermine hcl. In the USA the major pharmacies sell Phentermine, Ionamin and Adipex. In the UK, Europe Australia and South Africa it is sold a Duromine. As explained there are 3 basic dosages available in the US. The most popular forms of fentermine by a factor of five are the 37.5mg and 30mg strengths.
- 37.5mg - Typically the 37.5mg is blue white tablet or a blue tinted tablet with blue and white flecks in it. These are generally from either Able Laboratories or Purepac.
- 30mg - Typically the 30mg form is a blue and clear capsule or a yellow capsule. These are generally provided by Eon Laboratories.
- Adipex - ADIPEX-P® (phentermine hydrochloride) is a 37.5 mg immediate release version of Phentermine Hydrochloride that is produced by Gate Pharmaceuticals. It is white with blue specks. The pill is oblong, scored on one side, and labeled ADIPEX-P on the reverse. The most popular generic of Adipex-P made by Camall Company, is white with blue specks and is also oblong.
- Ionamine - IONAMIN® (phentermine hydrochloride) is set in a resin matrix compound and is manufactured by Celltech Pharmaceuticals / Medeva Pharmaceuticals. The resin compound allows the phentermine to release slowly into the system, but is not time released per se. Some patients like it because they have fewer side effects. It is the only phentermine resin on the market; there are no generics. It comes in 30 mg and 15 mg capsules. The 15 mg capsule is gray and yellow, the 30 mg capsule is all yellow. Each capsule is labeled "Ionamin and the mg strength." or "Ionamin"
